Before you pack your phone or handheld device, there are 3 things you need to check in order to be sure your device will work at your destination. 1. Check Rogers coverage and rates: 2. Verify that your device will work with the network in your travel destinations: View GSM / wireless handheld frequency specifications. 3. Learn how to use your device while roaming: Local Call: Dial (area code) and 7-digit phone number Long Distance Call: Dial 1 (area code) and 7-digit phone number Overseas Call:* Dial 011 (country code) (city code) and phone number International Dialling Instructions for GSM Local Call: Dial local phone number Long Distance Call to Canada or the United States: Dial + [plus sign] 1 Long Distance Call to Another Country:* Dial + [plus sign] (country code) and phone number In the United States, your voicemail service will work either normally or you will need to enter your wireless phone number before your password. Depending on your international roaming destination, your voicemail service may work differently than at home since you're using a foreign network. Therefore, we recommend you test your voicemail upon arrival. While roaming in the United States and overseas, you can receive text messages from home and you can send messages to a text messaging-enabled wireless device on the Rogers Wireless network and other North American networks. Sending a message to a non-North American phone is available to specific countries and networks. View available inter-carrier text messaging networks. To send a text message while roaming overseas, make sure to dial 0 or +, along with the country code and wireless phone number. While roaming in the U.S. text messages are 60¢/ per message sent, and 60¢ / per message sent while roaming over seas. Receive free unlimited text messages while roaming in the U.S. and overseas. Call Display: In the United States, Call Display should work normally. Call Display is not guaranteed to work during international roaming. Availability is dependent upon the international network on which you are roaming. Mobile Internet: In the United States, you can access the mobile Internet just as you would at home from your Web-enabled wireless device. International GPRS roaming is available in select locations (not all GSM roaming locations offer GPRS roaming).
